Anybody know when DirectX 10 comes out?
Anybody know when DirectX 10 comes out?
DirectX 10 is a core component of Windows Vista (which won't be available to consumers until January 30, 2007). DX10 won't be posterior ported to earlier platforms.
As far as DX10 compatible graphics cards, the one and only one I know of is Nvidia GeForce 8800. Cards from other manufacturers (ATI) should be coming out soon.
As far as DX10 games, most games big games will support DX9 and 10 until the come to an end of this year, when you will start seeing the first DX10 only games.
it dosent
January 30, 2007 its going to be surrounded by vista. No seperate downloads. Gety ready to buy Vista.
Depends on who you believe:

Looks a bit loaded
What you are referring to as DX10 is never gonna come out. What I mean is that Direct X is individual replaced by Microsoft's new technology call the XNA that powers XBOX and will be available on Vista as well. DX10 is already deprecated surrounded by support for the newer XNA. DX10 already exists to provide some of the XNA features to lower DX9 modules. Therefore components of so called DX10 already exist contained by recent releases of DX9 for some time but there will not be full DX10 release as I hold come to know.
Details are available on Microsoft website itself. Just try the developer zone of DirectX for all information pertaining to it.
XInput have been available for rather sometime already.
If its XNA you are looking for.... unfortunately we are adjectives in equal *&^%.
EDIT: Please don't confuse Direct3D 10 next to DirectX 10 and email me. whoever that was.
