membus for x1600 is 128bit while its 256bit for the 9700
as you would expect the memtype is gddr to ddr so its a big difference...
SO...
1.whats the significance of Memorybus?
2.using ATI tool whats the proper temp for x1600?
3.can anyone else suggest a tool for monitoring card asides from ATI tool (temp speed)
I just play counter strike 1.6 and zilch else right now...

the X1600 outperforms the 9700, contained by absolute
but depending on the specs of your motherboard (AGP4 or AGP8/4) the execution advantage of the X1600 may be cut hindmost.
ATItool (***NOT*** from ATI...) is useless, except to burn out your card. but if you limit yourself to reading the temp / vent speeds, it is as appropriate a tool as any other
the memory bus is the bandwidth of the link between Memory & GPU
