Looks honest to me..., Asus is pretty good around bios updates, which you might need if you are planning on a quad core.
No, that board is overpriced and the 975 chipset is not that great. Look for something surrounded by the ASUS P5B series, it uses the P965 chipset which is much better, and will probably end up self less expensive.
