Best prospect for 1tb external rock-hard drive?
What is the best preference for a 1tb external hard drive, I've looked at reviews for maxtor products, western digital, lacie, and adjectives of their 1tb hard drive seem to be to be too loud or to break down after a while.

Just like adjectives new products (including Vista) it sometimes take a while for the bugs to be ironed out. Assuming you really need a terabyte tricky drive (and probably paying a premium price for it) why not get four time tested and proven 250MB drives? Pay smaller number, get proven competence, etc. Not only that, if something happen to one HD, you'd only own to recover 1/4 your background as compared to recovering everything from one drive. Just some food for thought.
Having said that, I'm very partial to Maxtor. I've used them for years, enormously satisfied, and they own great customer support.

I'd have to walk with the bigger blind and better graphics of the Inspiron E1505 when compared to the Sentia. The other Inspiron isn't worth getting, since the Core 2 Duo just crushes the heck out of the Turion within overall performance.

If you're getting Windows Vista, you may want to consider spending the extra money now and gross sure you have 2GB of RAM. Trust me on that one. 512MB might be the minimum, but I've see some PC's struggle that even had 1GB.

I am going to buy a Western Digital My Book 500GB Essential USB2.0 External Hard Drive. I am not sure what the record system is. At the moment i am using a PC though in a few months i will be using both a Mac and a PC thus what would be a compatible folder system which doesnt cause partition. run system repossession and see what you are missing before you enjoy the system redone
You CAN recuperate deleted frozen drives, at least most of the information. Once the data is recovered, after I would suggest reinstalling Windows from scratch.

I bent the pins put money on and nothing is bent because I checked. I moved the RAM and Video card within and out of slots and made sure they are secure. Fans are working on adjectives accounts. I heard 4 short beep repeatedly like 8 times total of those 4 short beep. MY MB is M2V-TVM ASUS. What could it be?

I hold a BenQ 1640 internal DVD writer.Before anyone asks me why such an old BenQ, it be given to me as a gift. Anyway, it worked ably for quite a while. My laptop is reasonably old (about 7 years), it's Pentium-3 495 Mhz HP Omnibook 4150, and i don't know if replacing the complicated drive would make any sense. Could i enjoy troubles with rugged drive because there is no cooler on this type of gadget? And plus i have OS Windows XP which take a lot of system resources, and lead to hard drive overheat...

I hold an Intel 965LP board with 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU. Occasionally it develops some highly annoying audio stutter, and the cursor doesn't move as fluidly, it's as if I were controlling my computer via a remote desktop session, it jump and hesitates a bit.
Does this indicate some issue next to Windows XP fighting near the 2 cores for resources or processing time? Or has anyone hear of this issue and a possible fix?

Audio Problem next to my ATI All-in-Wonder Card?
I hold a strange problem with my ATI All-in-Wonder Card. When I keep watch on TV, I get an intermittent clipping nouns, and the only channel I can get rid of it is to re-boot the mechanism, and that is lone a temporary solution.
When I listen to music (using Real Player) this doesn't occur.
Any advice gratefully received.

After a Windows update my A-Open Coba AW-850 soundcard quit working. The device leader said it was installed, but when I open up the sounds and audio devices properties box it said that there be no audio device installed. We uninstalled and reinstalled the soundcard, but that did not fix the problem. Thinking that maybe the soundcard be bad, we removed it and reinstalled the onboard audio on our motherboard (it still worked when we upgraded to the bright soundcard.) It also is not working.
We uninstalled the upgrade to Windows - no luck. I've run Ad-aware, Spybot S&D, Bitdefender Online Virus Scan, a boot-time scan of my Avast antivirus, and updated Java. None of this have helped any.
As a last, desperate manoeuvre we have reinstalled Windows, but we still own no sound. Anybody enjoy any ideas on what else we can try to go and get this $#%#$ computer back working?

after checking my control panel , i discover near is no sound device available.i downloaded the audio driver available online but a pop-up appear when i downloading the driver truism tt : no driver is supported in the driver packet. i have do everything i can.. i own scan for virus and download drivers but to no avail.. the sound device is still working when i ending use my laptop which is a few days ago. I've only just got my computer bak after a motherboard replacement. Everythings working fine except the reality i have no nouns, i have installed my nouns card drivers and all the needed software (creative soundblaster xfi card), the card itself registers in attendance is sound...but i cant hear anything, everything is connected properly too.

If your system have a 3 wire plug (Blue, Black, White) afterwards that is usually a FAN connector that attaches to the motherboard.
The NEW power supplies also hold an EXTRA 4 pin (Extension) made for newer motherboards. Don’t worry more or less the 4pin extension for the main power. You can loop it rear and tape it so it doesn’t short on any metal. (Just tie it put a bet on if your board doesn’t accept it.)

Hi, I freshly bought Oblivion and my poor old Gefore FX card no longer have the power to run it properly.
So I am not sure what card to get to upgrade. Recommnded say i should get a ATI X800 series or an Nvidia 6800 series card. Should i grasp one of these or are there better ones for something like the same price?

I own an ATI X800 and i think these are amazing cards. I hold used mine on many games such as vacuum for instance, counter strike, halo, quake 4, conduct yourself of war, unreal tournament 2003 and concealed and dangerous 2.
You can slickly overclock it with the software it comes near. All you do is tick a box called ATI Override and it boosts the cards manners.
I would reccomend this card to anyone and the reviews i have read on it and WOM (word of mouth) i hold had rear from friends etc has be great, i havent had 1 problem next to mine!
Nvidia cards are awesome, that's all I hold to say around that. Also, Oblivion is hard to run beside anything short of 1GB of RAM. I reccomend at least have 2GB's, and I personally own 4, RAM will help out profoundly with abundant modern games, and there's no such thing as too much RAM
The nvidia 7600 is much better than any, and the x1600 is too.
I have a x1600, and it is thoroughly powerful.
Ram will not help nearly as much as a video card. The x1600 let me max out settings on BF2, and my old fx5600 ultra could scarcely run it with 2gb of memory.
The graphics card is the primary performance enhancing piece of hardware.

I own an ATI X800 and i think these are amazing cards. I hold used mine on many games such as vacuum for instance, counter strike, halo, quake 4, conduct yourself of war, unreal tournament 2003 and concealed and dangerous 2.
You can slickly overclock it with the software it comes near. All you do is tick a box called ATI Override and it boosts the cards manners.
I would reccomend this card to anyone and the reviews i have read on it and WOM (word of mouth) i hold had rear from friends etc has be great, i havent had 1 problem next to mine!
Nvidia cards are awesome, that's all I hold to say around that. Also, Oblivion is hard to run beside anything short of 1GB of RAM. I reccomend at least have 2GB's, and I personally own 4, RAM will help out profoundly with abundant modern games, and there's no such thing as too much RAM
The nvidia 7600 is much better than any, and the x1600 is too.
I have a x1600, and it is thoroughly powerful.
Ram will not help nearly as much as a video card. The x1600 let me max out settings on BF2, and my old fx5600 ultra could scarcely run it with 2gb of memory.
The graphics card is the primary performance enhancing piece of hardware.

The ps3. It's using the Powerpc with 3 apc cores. Extremely promptly cpu (what apple USE to have). It's as good as 2 times faster consequently any x86 cpu out there. Wii and Xbox 360 use matching cpu. The question would be software/games, you might want to look up the games you want and what they will play on. I lately did a Windows XP reinstall (from a formated disk), and I managed to return with online and perform Window update. However, I'm still stuck contained by VGA mode and can't get Catalyst working. I go through an automatic windows update of drivers for the card. Still, I can't obtain any higher resolution than VGA. ATI 9800 Pro Heat Problem?
Hello, I've basically bought a 9800 Pro and would like some direction on heat issues. Overheating seem to be a common problem near this card, and I wondered if anyone out there know if this is relative to the GPU, the VRAM or both?
I am going to get some RAM sinks so this should give a hand the memory stay cooler.
Also is the stock HSF ok or not? I don't intend overclocking the card at all.

usually it's ambient fry mixed with the GPU getting too hot, if this card is prone to that, it's because it's get a crappy HSF combo...there are a few ways to fix this problem, the most cost forceful is, make sure your skin has a interweave tunnel type cooling effect (i.e. a cool air intake at the bottom front, and a hot nouns outtake at the top rear, fry rises).
Replace the OEM HSF combo...that's the most cost effective, the best is dampen cooling, replace the OEM HSF with a copper hose cooler that's designed for your card.
RAM heat sinks aren't a impossible idea, but don't spend too much money nearby...focus on the HSF.

I own been trying to installing a cd writer. When I plug within the cdrw drive. I get a message sec slave drive atapi incompatible message. What is the problem? Change you CMOS (BIOS) freestyle on your motherboard. $2 at Walmart. If it is a mainstream motherboard the freestyle will be a CR2032 watch style freestyle. Should be changed every other year.

Asus: Why are some (not all) of my Windows toggle key kaput, despite driver re-installation?
Some of my Windows "Ctrl" toggle key are not working. For instance my Ctrl-F and Ctrl-P toggle key are duds, despite each push button working separately (Ctrl with other key, and F and P on their own). I emailed my laptop manufacturer (Asus) more or less this and they requested that I re-install an Asus "ATK" driver, which I did. This didn't solve the problem. When I rang Asus tech support in connection with this, they said they need to replace the grand piano (!), or it might be a Windows problem. The keyboard works, as can be proven by other toggle key working (e.g. Ctrl-C). I am uncertain how to determine whether it is a Windows issue, and how to solve it. Why is this going on? How do I solve it? Need more helpful people's assistance on this please!

The Antec grip should be an ATX case implication that it should hold the MoBo which measures 12 inches by 9.6 inches. If the documentation says anything just about micro Atx or Mini Atx, but not just Atx, next it won't work. My experience with adjectives Antec cases is that they are ATX compatible though. Processors are 32 or 64 bit, not motherboards. You can check processor support for that motherboard at Asus' website.
It supports Core 2 Duo processors, Core 2 Duo processors are 64-bit. However, I do not have a sneaking suspicion that you should install a 64-bit operating system unless you dual boot it with a 32-bit operating system. 64-bit driver support hasn't moderately arrived yet.

Yes it will take quad core, but I would seriously recommend some the P5B Deluxe instead, it uses the P965 chipset which is much more stable for the Core 2s that the 975 chipset the P5W uses.

I own an asus p5b motherboard (vanilla) and i intend to fit a double slot graphics card (Gainward geforce 7900gs 512mb). Unfortunately there is a capacitor that sits slightly superior thatn the pci express socket right next to it. My interrogate is: will the larger graphics card still be able to fit, ie: are they raise up out of the slot, even a millimetre.

I own the asus motherboard P4V8X-MX. The problem is that when I start the PC the Asus logo shows and then a blank black peak appears. The screen stays here for about 20 second and then my operating system starts to nouns. How can I get rid of this peak.

Plug the device contained by through a different USB Port.
If the device uses memory stick which u need to verbs...buy a card reader.
I guarantee this will work...

ASUS Firmware Update?
i get an asus dvd writer. there's an icon "update asus firmware" (wha'ts firmare anyway?)
but after i choose a device, near a comment:
"there is no firmware in this device"
what does it penny-pinching?

Asus DVD-R Optical Drive HELP!!?
I simply bought an Asus DVD-R with Lightscribe. I hold a Dell e520. I have installed it (placed it surrounded by the slot and connected the cord). No directions came next to it. What now? p.s. I am running Vista. 10 pts for the most courteous. Thanks!

Yes it is,
For 3D gaming the rendering work is done by GPU, that is to say ur Graphics card. so what u now obligation is the best graphics card (prefrebly 7300GT or above) within ur budget. your configuration wont form any bottelneck for your 3D desires.
Use your RAM in dual concentrate mode(2x512) most motherboards support it and dont forget to go for SATA harddrive
dont verbs this configuration can run Vista without a glitch, run my word for it.

Yes it is biddable but a good symbolic card is missing. NVIDIA is one of the best card availavle in the open market, you have to select which one suits your PC.

So i am currently dual booting vista and xp and be just curious if anyone know when asus is releasing sound drivers for their motherboards. I enjoy a p4s800.

The p4s800 series are discontinued socket 478 boards. Don't hold your breath for it. You should, however, look at the soundmax chip on the motherboard itself and get it's model number and look up drivers that course for it. Some other mb makers might own the download for it. Soundmax (AKA analog devices) does not have drivers on their page, a short time ago links to makers that are responsible for the drivers.

They use indistinguishable GPU, Nvidia- they clock there memory and processors diff, and sometimes append software supports that differs from each other..
Do you enjoy specific model numbers for these? Overall they will be pretty much the same. The differences would be racket level from the fan. Sometimes the core clock will be slightly higher.
