You can try reinstalling the driver

Right click on My Computer and scroll to properties. When the interface comes up click on the harware tab after click on Device Manager. Under audio and video devices find your audio device. right click on it and scroll to uninstall. when you close Device Manager the Install New hardware wiizard will come up. Follow the directions. You may need your Recovery software or window disk for it to get the driver from
