Apple wireless mouse wont work but will click! Help?

My Apple Wireless Optical Mouse suddenly stoppped moving the cursor yesterday on my iMac, running 10.3.9. Its click function still works (its stuck on the Apple menu which I am competent to open), but it won't let me do anything else. And the tab switch is knackered!



I have reset the mouse, I hold recoupled the mouse with Bluetooth Setup utility (successfully), restarted the iMac and I hold changed the batteries. All to no avail.



Any suggestions? Should I lately call AppleCare and see if they'll distribute me a new one?

Yes- deplorably the internal mechagnisms of the infra red mouse make it impossible for you to crack it unambiguous and fix it yourself- you will have to ask for another or claim it on warrenty- lucky that mac mices are incredibly cheap!
